We’ve had to find a space on the shelf for a very special award recently after being named SME of the year at the prestigious North West Regional Construction Awards 2019.
The Krol Corlett team were delighted to receive the award at The Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, where we rubbed shoulders with some of the region’s biggest construction industry names and enjoyed catching up with colleagues and clients from across the sector.
Designed to showcase excellence in the North West construction sector, the awards celebrated the achievements and successes of the built environment community across a wide range of categories, rewarding both projects and companies. Each award winner is carefully selected by a panel of 16 judges, drawn from a wide variety of construction industry disciplines.
The awards programme has a clear focus on sustainability and best practice and we were particularly proud to be named Construction SME of the Year as measured against Construction Excellence, the Rethinking Construction agenda and Construction 2025.
Accepting the award on behalf of the whole Krol Corlett team, director, Simon Krol commented: “These awards showcase the exceptional levels of talent, best practice and innovation in the construction sector in the North West and being named as SME of the year against such strong competition is a real accolade.
“We were also delighted that our project at the Lowry Hotel was shortlisted as Manchester Project of the Year in these awards as this has showcased our capabilities in high end operational refurbishment. It was just pipped at the post by a worthy winner; Wythenshawe Hospital Emergency Department.”
Winners of the North West Regional Construction Awards now go forward to compete in the national awards, which will be decided in London in the autumn.
